Ringside adds a power dialler with live AI coaching to HubSpot: one-click calling from any record, real-time transcription and prompts while you talk, and every call logged back to the contact automatically with a recording and transcript. This guide takes you from installing the app to your first logged call. It takes about ten minutes, and you do not need anything beyond your HubSpot account and the phone already in your pocket.
Before you start
- A HubSpot account where you can install apps (Super Admin, or App Marketplace permissions).
- A phone that can take calls. Ringside dials your phone first and bridges the prospect in, so there is nothing to install and no headset setup.
- A Ringside account. You can create one during the install; sign-in works from the widget itself.
Step 1: Install Ringside in HubSpot
Install the app from the HubSpot App Marketplace listing (or the install link on this site). HubSpot shows a consent screen listing what Ringside can access: contact read and write (to load who you are calling and log calls back), and list read (to dial from your HubSpot lists). Pick the portal you want to connect and accept.
Once installed, Ringside appears as a calling provider inside HubSpot. On a contact record, open the Call action and choose Ringside as the provider; Ringside is also available in HubSpot's call remote, so you can place calls from anywhere in HubSpot, not only from a record.
Step 2: Sign in inside the widget
The first time the Ringside panel opens it asks you to sign in. Continue with Ringside opens a small window on the Ringside dashboard so your saved password works, then brings you straight back; or use the email form to create an account on the spot. You stay signed in afterwards.
Step 3: Add your phone in Settings
In the Ringside panel (open the Call action on any contact if it is closed), select the gear icon in the header. Under Your phone, enter the number Ringside should ring first on every call, in international format (for example +44 7700 900123). Answer that ring and the prospect is dialled and bridged in; your browser is only the control panel, so call quality is normal phone-call quality.
The same Settings page holds your coaching defaults: the sales framework the coach follows (BANT, MEDDIC, SPIN or your own), whether coaching is shown on screen or whispered in your ear, and the call language. Leave anything on org default and Ringside uses what your admin set on the dashboard.
Step 4: Get a calling number
Prospects see your calling number when you dial. There are two ways to set one up, both without leaving HubSpot:
- Buy a dedicated number. In Settings, choose Get a number, pick a country and type, and buy one in two taps. It becomes your calling number immediately.
- Use your own number. On the Ringside dashboard's Phone numbers page, verify a number you already own by receiving a code on it. Verified numbers can be set as the default caller ID.
Step 5: Make your first call
Open a contact with a phone number, start a call and choose Ringside. Your phone rings first; answer it, and the prospect is dialled. While you talk, the panel shows the live transcript and the coach's prompts against your chosen framework. If you navigate around HubSpot mid-call, the panel picks the call right back up; the call itself lives on the phones, not in the browser tab.
When the call ends, pick a disposition (connected, meeting booked, no answer, and so on) and add any notes. Ringside writes the call to the contact's timeline with the recording and full transcript attached. Nothing to type up afterwards.
Dial through a list
For session calling, use the Ringside dashboard's dialler with one of your HubSpot lists: it moves to the next contact after each wrap-up, keeps your phone on the line between calls, and applies the same logging to every attempt. See the power dialler guide for how that works in practice.
Compliance defaults
Ringside blocks dials to contacts on your do-not-call list and outside the contact's calling hours by default, using the contact's timezone where known. Recording is on by default and announced by your admin's settings; see call recording consent for the rules by country.

What number do prospects see when I call?
Your org's default calling number: either a dedicated number bought in the widget or a number you verified as your own. You can change the default on the dashboard's Phone numbers page.
Does Ringside work from my mobile?
Yes. The call always happens on your phone; the browser panel is only the control plane, so you can dial from the dashboard on a phone browser and talk on the same device.
Where do recordings and transcripts end up?
On the HubSpot contact's timeline as a logged call with the recording and transcript attached, and in the Ringside dashboard's review area with the AI coaching summary.
How do I uninstall?
Remove the app from HubSpot's Connected Apps page. Ringside stops having access immediately; your logged calls stay on the HubSpot timeline because they are normal HubSpot call engagements.
